Two Shot in Daytime Carjacking in Popular East Memphis Shopping Center

DEVELOPING STORY: Two people were shot in broad daylight during a carjacking outside a popular East Memphis shopping and dining destination.
Police say officers responded to the shooting at Poplar Avenue and International Drive around 2:15 p.m.
That’s the location of a number of popular eateries including “Big Bad Breakfast” and “Babalu.” The restaurants are located directly across from International Paper.

The victims, a man and a woman, were taken to Regional One in non-critical condition.
Investigators say the suspects were driving a black Infiniti sedan. Typical.

Any information which leads to an arrest, in this case, could be worth up to $2,000.
