VICTORY! Germantown Schools Backs Down From Attempt to Silence Parents

The Germantown Municipal School District backed down on a measure that would silence parents after facing massive backlash from the community.

Last night, the board tabled a vote on a rule that would only allow parents to comment on issues that were on their agenda.

Moms for Liberty – Memphis spokeswoman Kristen New celebrated the decision, telling KWAM Thursday, “We couldn’t have done it without all of the phone calls… we were told [board members] got feedback on that proposed policy change, so that was excellent.”
