DEVELOPING STORY: A Tennessee National Guard UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter crashed Wednesday afternoon during a training mission near Huntsville, Alabama. Two crew members were killed.

A doorbell camera captured the moment the chopper fell from the sky. Watch below.“We are deeply saddened by the loss of two Tennessee National Guardsmen, and our prayers are with their families during this heartbreaking tragedy,” said Brig. Gen. Warner Ross, Tennessee’s Adjutant General. “We ask Tennesseans to join us in supporting their families during this time of unthinkable grief.”

No other service members or civilians were harmed in this incident. Federal and state authorities are investigating the crash. The Tennessee National Guard will support law enforcement and other first responders handling the crash site and provide more information as details become available.

No motorists were injured.

Alabama Congressman Dale Strong posted a tweet sending his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the crash.

“I’m deeply saddened by the fatal helicopter crash that happened in Madison County today.” Strong wrote. “My heart hurts for those who lost their lives in this tragic incident and for their families as they learn of this news.”
