WAR ZONE: Memphis Police Investigating 8 Weekend Shootings

At least two people have been killed and five others wounded across Memphis as parts of the city have been turned into war zones.

The two fatalities were found inside a Mercedes at 4334 Falcon Drive. One victim was dead at the scene, the other died at Regional One.

Memphis Police Director Michael Rallings warned last month that shootings were up 30 percent this year.

“If we continue on pace, it will blow that record out of the water,” Rallings said during a July 8 press conference.

Officers are on the scene of a shooting at 1510 Beaver Trail. Officers located one male shooting victim inside. He was xported in critical condition to ROH.
The suspect is known to the victim—6’0, medium build, low hair cut, several tattoos, wearing a black shirt and shorts.
