BBB Warns of Robotext Scams

While robocalls are a top technique for scammers, robotexts have surpassed scam calls in 2021 and 2022. Texting has become the new norm for business and scammers are catching on.

Daniel Irwin joins The Earle Farrell 4Memphis Show to discuss the latest scams. In a recent study by Better Business Bureau, Americans received 91 billion spam texts in 2021. In 2022, they received 147 billion. That’s a 60% increase within the year and they guestimate that the projected financial losses for 2022 were 28 billion dollars.
