Joey Sulipeck exclusively joined “Wake Up Memphis” with Ben Deeter and discussed his abrupt television exit, fresh beginnings and his new book.

Former Fox 13 Memphis meteorologist Sulipeck was put under investigation by the station after calling out NBA star Draymond Green for “knuckle-dragging his open mouth” during the Golden State Warriors’ playoff series against the Memphis Grizzlies on Twitter last year. Sulipeck said he was accused of being racist.

Ultimately, Sulipeck left the television business, but now he has a new book that he hopes will provide hope to others.

“God brought me out of that, God really saved me,” Sulipeck told KWAM.

Over the summer, he kept notes of what he was going through and how God guided him through difficulties, which he later turned into a book. It was released in April and is titled “A God of Unsignaled Left Turns.”

He’s hosting a book signing on June 17 at Christian Brothers Automotive.
