Local activist Hunter Demster has been posting on social media at the scene. He claims Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland ordered Black Lives Matter signs to be taken down, but this is not confirmed by the mayor’s office.
“We’re going to have to change up tactics and hit ’em where it hurts,” Demster says on his Facebook video below.
