No Crime Cameras to Catch Criminals at Memphis Fire Stations

Memphis Fire Stations are being targeted by criminals with two car break-ins and one car stolen in recent days.

Police detectives say the break-ins happened on back-to-back nights. The car that was stolen, a black Chevy Tahoe, was at fire station 25.

“This has been the first year, that I can recall, that anything like this has happened,” Chett Hopper, co-host of “The Real Resistance,” tells “Wake Up Memphis” Host Robyn Walensky.

Hopper says the majority of fire stations do not have security cameras.

Hopper tells Walensky “I don’t know how interested our local politicians are in fighting crime, vandals seem to be getting away with it.”
