Violence Continues in Memphis with Six Shootings in One Night

Memphis Police officers responded to six shootings in the last 24 hours.

This comes after an extremely violent 4th of July weekend here in Memphis as four people were shot and killed over the holiday.

Police officers responded to one crime scene on Davis Street in North Memphis finding two people shot. Both were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Then 9-1-1 operators received additional calls of shots fired in five different locations: the 1700 block of Gowan Drive, the 1200 block of North Hollywood Street, the 1400 block of Old Hickory Road at Graceland Drive, the 800 block of Crockett Street and the 3800 block of Elvis Presley.

At another location on Crockett Street, detectives found one man with a gunshot wound to the chest. He reportedly died at the scene. Anyone with information about the shootings is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH.
