- The mystery continues. Missing Kansas woman Marilane Carter’s vehicle has been found in an empty storage container with a deceased female body inside the vehicle. No foul play is suspected.
- Grammy award winner Boo Mitchell’s son, Elijah Lewis, was shot in Cordova and paralyzed from the waist down. WMC Action News 5’s Janice Broach tells ‘Wake Up Memphis’ with Robyn Walensky the following about the suspect Glenn Smith: “The man was someone that his girlfriend knew, he was not a boyfriend. The man a couple of months ago had changed her locks and kept the keys, not letting her know he had a spare key. He went in there, according to what he told police, unlocked the house, sat in there for all night waiting for her, I don’t know exactly what he had planned to do, but that’s what happened.”
- As schools open around the Mid-South, one is already closing back up. Harding Academy Memphis is officially sending its students back home for virtual learning due to twelve confirmed coronavirus cases after just one week of school.
