Memphis City Councilman Chase Carlisle joined “Wake Up Memphis” with Todd Starnes and Ben Deeter to discuss Memphis Police’s latest efforts to curb Memphis’ out-of-control crime.

Memphis Police Chief CJ Davis said they’re going to start enacting a downtown curfew for minors. The curfew will involve relocating the minors to a center downtown and contacting their parents. Kids under the age of 16 will be required to head home by 11 p.m. on weekdays. They hope this will help with the increase in juvenile crime in the city.

Carlisle said business owners in the downtown sector all agree that the curfew needs to be enacted.

“I’m all for it,” he told KWAM.
