Sister of Memphis Gun Violence Victims: ‘Memphis Is Broken’

With all types of crime skyrocketing in Memphis over the past year, victims and their families are speaking out.

Paige Grauer-Taylor lost her two brothers to gun violence months apart in separate shootings, and she joined “Wake Up Memphis” with Ben Deeter and Todd Starnes Wednesday to talk about how she wants justice for her family.

It’s been about nine months since her brother Beau Grauer was killed, and her other brother Kevin Shea Grauer was killed just seven months later in February. Both murders were in the midtown area.

Unfortunately, the family has been left with more questions than answers regarding both brothers’ deaths.

“Memphis is known to be the home of the blues and the birthplace of rock and roll,” Taylor told KWAM, “but there’s a dark side.”

She said she wants justice for her brothers and asks the city to “do better.”

“Memphis is broken,” Taylor added.
