Sharon Price John, the president and CEO of Build-A-Bear Workshop, told “Wake Up Memphis” about her journey to success that started in middle Tennessee.
In her new book, “Stories and Heart: Unlock the Power of Personal Stories to Create a Life You Love,” which was released this week, she wanted to make sure her words could inspire a generation that seeks success.For John, everyone’s future is in their own hands, they just have to go out and try to make it happen.

“We have this opportunity if you look inside to unlock the power of your own personal story to create a life you love,” she said. “First you have to know what you’re trying to do, be willing to take some action and get that traction.”
She noted that times will be rough, but with the right mentors and friends to encourage you and a little “gumption”, the results will speak for itself.“You don’t have to have probable, you just have to have possible,” she said.
