Thursday on “Wake Up Memphis” Tim Van Horn talked with Dr. Jimmy Hoppers. His Jackson, Tennessee practice has focused on the effective treatment of COVID-19 in his patients. Hoppers made it a point to mention that his medical practice has a COVID-19 vaccine-optional policy for its employees. This is unlike the new mandatory policy (w/only company-approved medical or religious exemptions) handed down at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Dr. Hoppers is angry that many entities are using the Delta variant of the virus as an opportunity to scare people into taking the vaccine. He believes that decision should be between patient and doctor, NOT patient and the government.
