Gill: TN 3 Democrat State Reps Have No Interest In Protecting Children

The three Tennessee state Democrat representatives under the threat of expulsion are hiding behind the human shields of children, KWAM contributor Steve Gill said Thursday.

He called out the three — State Reps. Justin Jones (D-Nashville), Gloria Johnson (D-Knoxville), and Justin Pearson (D-Memphis) — for their vote against a common-sense proposal last week that would allow armed security officers at private schools.

“They have no interest in protecting children. They are grandstanding. They are drawing attention to themselves for their own personal benefit,” Gill told “Wake Up Memphis” host Todd Starnes. “They have nothing in their track record that indicates they actually care about Tennessee children and that vote alone demonstrates who they really are and what they’re really all about.”

Tennessee state representatives are voting Thursday to expel three House Democrats for disorderly behavior on the House Floor following the deadly Nashville school shooting.

KWAM will provide updates to the ruling following the vote.
