Memphis Business Owner Calls on Local Leaders To Crack Down on Crime

DJ Naylor, the owner of Bog and Barley, told KWAM that crime is impacting the restaurant industry in Memphis.

“[Crime] is a major, major concern for the restaurants of Memphis and obviously the people of Memphis,” Naylor said on“Wake Up Memphis” Thursday. “We need to get this resolved. There are far too many crime and shooting outbreaks that are impacting everyone’s livelihoods, and in particular, the restaurant business.”

The Memphis business owner shared a conversation he had with the owner of Cafe Ole, a Midtown Mexican restaurant recently hit by thieves breaking into cars in the parking lot.

“That could’ve been us. That could’ve been my restaurant in Midtown or out east,” he said.
