With former President Donald Trump’s arrest in Georgia on Thursday, social media has been plastered with reactions from those right, left and center in politics.
However, sometimes silence is more deafening.
Many Tennessee representatives and senators have refrained from comment on social media since Trump’s arrest, including Rep. Mark Green (R), Rep. Tim Burchett (R), Rep. David Kustoff (R), Rep. John Rose (R), and Sen. Bill Hagerty (R). In the past, several of these politicians have chimed in on the case, but they’ve stayed silent since the historic moment Thursday.Check out some of the social media posts below:

#Trump was a historic president—for all the wrong reasons. He tried to steal an election and subvert our democracy, and he did it in full view of the American public. His surrender at the #FultonCountyJail is a reminder that no one, not even a former President, is above the law. https://t.co/9rp1Ldz62D

For the fourth time in nearly as many months, corrupt actors within our justice system have rocked our country to its core. Tonight’s arraignment and the continued sham investigations against President Trump are nothing more than an attempt to interfere with the 2024 Election.
