Dr. Alveda King, the niece of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said her uncle’s message in 2022 would be the same one he shared 60 years ago: We are one blood.

“He believed Acts 17:26 “From one blood, God made all the people,” she told KWAM morning show host Ben Deeter. “So the racism and race wars are a socially engineered and fake, there is one human race.”

Martin Luther King Day is observed every year on the third Monday of January — on January 16 this year.

King is an outspoken conservative on issues like race, abortion and religious freedom.

“My uncle, if he were here today, would say exactly what he always said because he was a man of God, led by the Bible, imperfect man serving a perfect God, so he would ask us to continue to pray, to repent of our sins and forgive others as we are forgiven,” King said.

She continued: “He’d have us look at everything that’s happening, and we would still say we must learn to live together as brothers… and sisters and not parish together as fools.”
