Tennessee Rep. Gloria Johnson (D-District 13) made the announcement Tuesday morning that she’s running for U.S. Senate. If she advances from the primary, she’ll face incumbent Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R) in 2024.
Johnson made the announcement in her Knoxville district at an outdoor rally:

Johnson is known for her involvement in the “Tennessee Three” during the aftermath of the tragic shooting at Covenant Christian School in Nashville just a few months ago. She has been in office since 2012.
